Looked like that hurt…

There are so many ragdoll games on the Internet that even we cant name them all: classics such as ragdoll avalanche killed our time, but now the era of  new generation of games has arrived, and that only means one thing…ragdoll games with better graphics. If you like ragdolls getting hurt, Pain is the game for you.

...pure fun...

...pure fun...

Pain is a PS3 exclusive, and there’s a lot of content (including wacky characters from Jak and Daxter to  David Hasselhoff) and there are also new  playgrounds which you can swing your rubber-boned friend and watch them screaming for mercy… yes, I know..sick..but fun! When you first start playing Pain, you start thinking of what to hit next. Levels are packed with objects no matter what size the actual playground is, but after a while you start losing ideas and the initial humor dies.

Another great thing about this game is that it has multi-player… but the down side is that you’re lucky to even find a game online. Luckily there’s co-op as well, and the games you can play with your friends are crazy! This game is guaranteed to make you and your friends laugh until your mum comes into the room and starts yelling at you, then she throws your ps3 in the bin and smashes your tv to pieces. Well done.

insanely stupid characters

Insanely stupid characters?

Controls are fairly simple to grasp. Press R1 to grab an object, and maybe even pull it off (?!). Just shake the six axis motion to fill the “ooch meter”, once it’s filled you can use “the force” to push your character into an entirely different direction (may the force be with you). The game seems to remind me of Jackass… but now you have full control of the idiot who’s daring enough to try anything in the name of crazy.

The game modes in Pain have a lot of variety, most likely, the ideas of the game modes were thought of by maniacs down at the crazy farm, for example, spank the monkey…yeah, but it really doesn’t matter because its funny looking at cartoon characters spanking monkeys, while in mid air and listening to the annoying monkeys scream as your characters hand grabs the monkeys rear. beautiful.

Quick review: Pain is basically for people who like watching other people getting hurt, crazy characters and dense playgrounds make pain a perfect game to get if you have a few hours to kill, or your with your friends. rubber-like physics make it hugely enjoyable and variety of game modes are well thought of. Great for the price!

Ah beating the shit out of the Hoff has never been more fun…or risk free. I agree totally with the review, a quality little game for a spare hour or two.
